I have something fun and important to share with you tonight! It’s a little bit time sensitive but also a lot bit wonderful, so even if you read this after 11am on the 14th, it’s cool.
There is a fantastic company here in Nashville called Seeds Family Worship. They write, produce and sell CDs of scripture set to music for families.
Each of their CDs comes with one for you and one to tear off and give to a friend. So, not only are they planting the seeds of scripture in your family’s heart, but their aim is to plant these seeds all over the nation and to the ends of the Earth.

We listen to their music while we’re traveling around town doing errands and it’s amazing to me when a verse or tune will pop into my head and encourage me in my daily life.

So, here’s the time-sensitive part:
If you or anyone you know is curious about how a song gets written (or just love Seeds music), tomorrow is a perfect opportunity to experience it first hand…

Seeds founder (and award-winning songwriter) Jason Houser and Seeds worship leader Philip Morlan are currently working on writing songs for the next album: Seeds of Character.

Tomorrow, they will draw a verse from many submitted by families for this album and use it to write a song for the new album. The early stage of writing will be live via streaming video. They will return online in the afternoon to play the song live.

The streaming schedule:
11AM – noon Central
3 PM Central

The live stream can be viewed here tomorrow.

That same page also contains a store for pre-ordering the Seeds of Character album.

*************************
And, because these CDs have ministered so much to me and my family, I want to share them with you. Seeds has given me a free download to share with my friends (you can click on the download button below to get it!) and I have doubles of a few albums here that I’d love to give away to anyone who wants them!
Let’s do this: leave a comment sharing a favorite scripture verse, ideally related to the character of God, but any favorite verse will count (write it out if you can!). I have a few albums, so I’ll choose a few winners tomorrow evening at 8pm.
In fact, for this giveaway, there is no limit to the number of verses you can submit. It will increase your chances of winning, and I’ll have a lovely evening reading through your submissions!
Don’t forget to watch them write a new song LIVE tomorrow at 11am CST!

    >My very favorite verse these days is Ephesians 3:20. I've painted it on canvases, written it on notecards and highlighted/underlined/starred it in every Bible I own.

    >My favorite verse of all time is Psalm 46:10…"Be still and know that I am God." No matter what is going on around me, I can always rest in those words.

    >Katie stole my verse! ha ha! Just kidding!

    My 2nd favorite is:

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

    >"With the arrival of Jesus, the Messiah, that fateful dilemma is resolved. Those who enter into Christ's being-here-for-us no longer have to live under a continuous, low-lying black cloud. A new power is in operation. The Spirit of life in Christ, like a strong wind, has magnificently cleared the air, freeing you from a fated lifetime of brutal tyranny at the hands of sin and death."

    >So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. "Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you."

    >Oh, dude, even if I don't win this, I want to find some Seeds albums. I remember that we were at your home when these first arrived, and I was so impressed with the concept!

My fav verse (which I told you already) is James 1:17: "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." As a literary person, the words of this beautiful verse move me. And we say it every time we do the liturgy as a church, which just makes me so happy.

    >Raechel- I have been looking for great worship music to play in the car for awhile. This is great! The best part is the words are clear for our kids to pick up over time!! I will definitely pick some of these up and share them around (another very cool idea).

Fav verse since High School. Joshua 1:9: Be bold and strong! Banish fear and doubt. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

    Blessings to you today,

    >This verse, in this particular version has been ministering to me a lot lately.

I am counting on the Lord, yes I am counting on Him. I have put my hope in his word. Psalm 130:5

It speaks to the steadfastness of God and his reliability. He always comes through.

praise the Lord!!! I would love to hear some more of these songs…while it would help my baby on the way/future children hide God's word in their heart, it will also REALLY help me!!

    >wow what a great song! My favorite verse of old and of late has been Zephaniah 3:17. I love this translastion from the New Living: "The Lord your God is living among you, He is mighty to save. He delights in you with gladness and with love calms your fears. He rejoices over you!"

    >Thanks for sharing the song! I enjoyed listening to it. My favorite verse is:

James 1:27 Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
