Because, if you’re going to pull style notes from someone, why not the late style editor of Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar?
We are in Michigan enjoying a relaxing, non-humid, Northern-summer visit with Ryan’s parents this week. Oliver is a swimming maniac, diving for toys, backstroking in the deep end and staying in the pool for nearly six hours straight, only to break for potty and dinner. Isn’t vacation lovely?
What are y’all up to this week?
>we must have passed you on the expressway. ;) We just left MI on tuesday. The weather was such a nice break. Enjoy your stay!
>I'm glad you are all reunited!! I am heading out for vacation on Saturday, bright and early! We are spending the week at a giant lake in the mountains of western Maryland, and I. Cannot. Wait!! Enjoy the rest of your vacation!!

absolutely love this store!!
Glad to see she loves her some style!
>Oh my goodness. WHERE did you get that adorable swimsuit for Hazel? SO cute.
>This has absolutly nothing to do with this post, but I didn't want to go through and find the one it did. My 4 year old has started using the word hate, which I cannot stand. I sat her down and used your analogy to knives. It was wonderful, explained perfectly why she cannot use that word. So thank you so much for sharing that wonderful parenting insite!
>What an adorable swimsuit! I love the fact that it is so modest. It breaks my heart when I see little girls in string bikini's. We can honor (or dishonor) God in what we were as mamas and in what we put our little girls in.
>oops, should say "wear" not "were"…
>Is Oliver just naturally a swimmer or did has he had lessons?
>Emily – Oliver has never had lessons but we've spent so much time in the water with him that he's always been pretty comfortable. If anything, he was too eager to swim before he knew how and would have gleefully drowned if we'd have let him. He definitely does not lack confidence! :)
