What a beautiful Easter Sunday! A laid back morning with the kids, a thrilling celebration of an Easter service with a knock-out (read: convicting) sermon, a leisurely walk to Starbucks downtown with visiting family, lunch at my Mama’s, afternoon nap at home, visit to our girl at the cemetery, and a sunset walk to end the day.
And the best part?
The hope.
The hope that death is not the end.
That this life is not for naught.
That Christ sits at the right hand of the Father and will return!
I have had some precious conversations with my sweet Oliver this weekend about this hope we have in life and death – about Heaven and God’s promises. It’s such a blessing to watch God work in his little heart – compelling him to impromptu prayers of thanksgiving and praise. Christ is at work in Oliver’s life. HE LIVES!
Tell Ryan he gets an A+ on the sock-shoe combo.
And I realize that’s not the most important thing I should take away from this post. Know that you all are always in our prayers this time of year. The words “April” and “Evie” are very firmly linked my heart and mind.
Christos Anesti!
what a great message! love you dress
He is risen indeed!
