Oh man.
I just spotted (see what I did there?) these gold and silver and white dot decals at the Land of Nod, and now my brain can’t stop scheming up good excuses to have a stack of them delivered to my house.
I know y’all are creative, too!
What smartsy, out-of-the box thing would you do?
Tell me your most clever idea in the comments, and then enter here to win a set of your choice from the lovely folks at The Land of Nod!
I would put them in my daughter’s room…or maybe on the stairs going upstairs…or maybe the laundry room to spice it us..or maybe…oh man, I will have difficulty deciding!
I would paint a section of wall with chalkboard paint, then make a connect-the-dots design so you could connect the dots and color the design in with chalk!
I’d definitely smatter them on the walls of my “craft” room (it doubles as my husband’s office, of course) and use them as inspiration to break my addiction to all things striped. It probably wouldn’t work and I’d develop an even bigger crush on dots. Accepting this as fact, I’d move on and enjoy many long and happy stripey, dottey filled hours in my new craft room/office.
we have this huge, empty, deep grey wall in our living room that could use some spicy gold spots! our daughter’s room is the same dark grey as well, and I’m sure she would like a couple to look at {and likely try to peel off :) }
I just re-decorated my room in silvers, grays, and whites. The silver ones would look great in the corner, similar to the nursery picture.
We’re thinking of painting our bathroom a really pale grey-eggplant…so gold dots on that would look pretty great. Maybe a random dotty accent wall to make the bathroom the funnest place in our apartment?
I like how the dots are arranged in the nursery picture- kind of looks like a mountain with a gold snow cap.
i am not all that clever but they would be cute around the windows in a swirl pattern in my 4 year olds room. my 11 year old would probably put them on the ceiling
I think it would be cool to use them as a modern Pac-Man interpretation using the silver dots. You could have them outline windows or as a border along top of the wall and then I would probably use black paint to add Pac-Man (or maybe Ms.Pac-Man) and the ghosts. If the walls were white the silver and the black figures should stand out and I really like the idea of black, white, and gray kids rooms (and adults).
I was also thinking making thick chevrons (several rows of dots) would be cool too, but I like the Pac-Man idea better.
I would use these in our girl’s room or our play room to spice things up abit… love them!
I would stick them on randomly, like confetti. I know that’s not very creative, but it looks like confetti to me!
I think I would use them as constellation dots for my son, so he could find pictures in the “sky”. So many possibilities!
I would put them in my master bedroom! Probably make it look like they were “raining” down from the tray ceiling!
Those are so neat!
I have recently created a little office corner in our basement, just for me… I might put them there to really differentiate the space… or put the gold ones in my daughter’s room – she has bright mint walls and that would look ADORABLE.
Since Charlotte and Harper have to share a room, and since it DESPERATELY needs to be updated to fit both a boy and a girl, and since the girl needs some girliness in her corner, I’d probably do a corner-thing (like your second image) to set her space apart. Such a fun idea!
How fun! I would love to use them in our play room… Or my bedroom! We have no design at all on our room so these could be really fun!
These would be SO PERFECT for the little study that I am making into my twins nursery. They will be born any day but this would be an easy enough project for postpartum days.
Okay, this is bizarre because my mom and I were literally JUST (as in like 15 minutes ago) looking at this page in the LON catalog and swooning over the dots. I’d probably put them in Brynlee’s room!
We live in a rental with eggshell white walls that we can’t paint. But these would be awesome to decorate our closet turned nursery and big boy room! It is still a work in progress, so the timing of this giveaway is perfect!
I would use them for a nursery!
I would put them in my daughters room. so cute!
love these for small hall bathroom, to add some needed interest!
I saw these the other day and they REALLY made me want to have a daughter so I could put them in a nursery! LOVE the gold dots!
I love these — I have a major affinity for anything polka dots! I’d use them on our upstairs landing or our bathroom. I don’t know how yet — but I would!
LOVE!
Would use them for an accent wall in a kid’s room! So cute!!! LOVE gold dots!
I would love to put them on the ceiling in my little bedroom!
My little bitty bathroom needs a happy little something and I think these just might make me bounce, er, bubble, hmmm.. over with joy! :) Nerd.
oh, they’d be really cute on a piece of glass framed. most likely in a grid. & they would make fun shadows on the wall behind them if the frame was deep enough!
Ooh, those are fun! Hmmm… I think they’d look cute as a border around windows!
These would be great for our play room :)
We are planning to turn our toddlers room into a shared room with a mini nursery in the closet area. This would be THE perfect way to make our Pinterest dreams come to life!! Thanks for the giveaway!!
I LOVE THESE!
Ooh, I love these! I think I’d use them in the sewing room/office I’m trying to create. :)
I would make a wall of dots in my little Charlotte’s room and sew matching ones on the bottom of her curtains to match :)
we have a teny tiny laundry closet that i’ve been putting off painting – this would be the perfect answer! no painting and it’d look so awesome, maybe I’d fold a load or two just looking at it!!
Oh man!!! I am LOVING these!!! I would so use them for our guest room/craft room make over!!! And IF I end up expecting this year, they will totally be used in the nursery! LOVE!!! The possibilities are endless! I’m already dreaming of the linens/curtains that could be created to compliment the dots.
Getting ready to redo a bathroom and the grey dots would be a lovely addition to my grey and yellow theme.
I think I would use them to decorate my Thirty One office space once I get some. Perhaps decorate my apartment when I get married in July. It will be sure to brighten northern Michigan next winter.
These are the cutest and the possibilities are endless! Some thoughts are in sunroom, in a little reading nook, a fun bathroom…love! :)
Ooohhh, I’m more of a stripes girl myself- but stripes made out of rows of dots? Fun! Or maybe overlapping dots so it was a bit of a scallop… all sorts of places I could think of to have fun with those- perhaps the wall that my youngest sharpied two days ago first…
My girls have little quiet nooks in their closets with comfy pillows and the white walls could definitely use some pop with silver dots!
I would love to use them in my office… right now it is so masculine (my husband works from home), but a girl needs a place to work too, right?
Aaahh! I am in LOVE with polka dots right now. I love the top picture. I’m a “lined-up” kinda girl :) I think I would put these on the inside back of the bookcases that line our wall under the TV, kind of a long, low media console made out of bookcases. These would be perfect to add some interest.
those are so cool! We have one really long wall that connects the living room and the dining room, and I would put them in straight line where the wall meets the ceiling!
floralandfudge
These are so cute, and so fun! I would probably put them on an accent wall in Olivia’s room….possibly even leading up to the ceiling! Polka dots on the ceiling would be so cute in her fun little room!
I think I would use hem in the corner of the playroom I’m currently redoing!
I would put these in my (lowly) decorated second room at school. I teach severe and profound special need students, and I finally hit a room to provide a sensory area for my students. My budget is gone, so this is happening out of my pocket. These dots would provide great focal points for my kiddos!
Love these! We just recently moved from Florida to Ohio (what a change!) so I’m working on a new room for my twin 8 year old boys. I’d love to use these to “frame” some of the artwork I’ll be hanging in their room or maybe to create a bubble effect in their bathroom :)
I would put them in my oldest daughters room!
Because I’m no where near baby mode, my first thought was how adorable they would be as a kitchen back-splash! Cute as a speckled…wall :)
I would totally jazz up our soon to be new little man’s white dresser with the Gold dots. I love to paint furniture but don’t want to with this one, its a nice Land of Nod one. (not a thrifty purchase) I am loving the metallics this season.
I would use these in my bathroom to give it some extra fun!
i’d decorate an office wall!! (like an accent wall) it would fire me up SO much!!
also i invited you to have coffee with me the other day, after you made your post :D http://purposefullychosen.blogspot.com/2013/02/coffee-talk.html
Ooooh love!!! I would plaster the wall and low angled ceiling in our upstairs little nook – a reading/crafting/girls only sortof hideout space – with the gold dots! Wall bling!
These are great! We purchased our first home in may and our bedroom has take a back seat on the redecorate list (wallpaper is hideous) due to welcoming our first baby this past July I’d love to use these as a focal point!
I love these! I would put them in my boring black and white bathroom to liven up the place!
Love, love, love the dots! I would totally put the in my kids playroom – on the ceiling! I would start with them circling around the light fixture and then scatter them out across the room. So fun!
Ummmmmm I would probably put them everywhere. No seriously thought – I would put them in Harlow’s room :)
I would use them to spruce up the space behind my headboard! Or I might save them for a few months until I move to a new apartment to get my design juices going :)
Hmmm… so many options of things to do! I think I would frame a mirror or doorway. :)
I love this, it is so cute! I would definitely use these in my home office/extra closet. It would really jazz things up…love them!
xoxo
Since my husband won’t let me put stripes on the ceiling. I think I’ll try to get away with dots…
I just bought some fancy paper which I’ve framed and put up on a wall in various frames, so I’d put the dots all throughout the space in between the frames and around them, and probably if I had some extra, I’d see if they’d stay on the window.
I’m gathering ideas to re-do my daughter’s big-girl room and I just love these!!!! If not in there, they would be so great for our schoolroom around the chalkboard. Love these!
I’ve got a whole Vegas theme going on in my office. These “tiny bubbles” would fit right in!
I would do confetti in my room on one wall, but if I had a child, I think it would be really neat to form constellations on the ceiling!
The dots are beautiful!! Maybe I could deck out my minivan with the gold dots and make it much cooler to drive;)) Just kidding, I think I would probably put them on a piece of furniture to jazz it up a bit!! Or maybe on the outside of our bathtub to make it pretty!
I’d put them in my office/school work room!
I would love to add some luxury to my office nook with these gold polka delights!
These would be a fun way to spruce up a kitchen or maybe going up the stairs. Love the pictures of them in a nursery as well.
i keep trying to think of a way to make empty wall in our kitchen exciting. maybe i’d use these for that!
I would use them in our hallway… we rent, and have really boring plain white walls that I would love to make more interesting!
What a perfect way to add a little flair to a room.
I would use them to make my child’s initial for the wall of their room.
I would decorate the walls of my walk in closet! The walls are just plain and boring and these dots would be a fun sight every time I open the doors
Oh, I have been drooling over these little spots of delight since I spied them in the catalog. I would fancy up my new babe’s bedroom- love the corner inspiration. Thanks for sharing!
I would totally use the white ones in my oldest’s room. He has turquoise walls with white trim and these would look great by the bunk beds!
If I had some dots I would use them in the basement craft room/man cave/playroom to add some whimsy to the walls!
I would love to spruce up my little reading nook with these whimsical dots….if I could get them away from my 6-year-old polka-dot-loving little girl!
I like the idea of having them trail around a corner. Maybe going from my daughters room out into the hallway. It would be cute to draw a silhouette of a little girl blowing bubbles with a bubble wand and then have the dots trail about.
Boy do I want these!!!!!
i would put them in the playroom. we are currently redoing it and i would put these on the chalkboard wall!
Adorable! I would put them on the walls of my home office – I need something fun and whimsical to stare at while I’m holding on my endless string of phone calls.
I would use them to make a chair rail type border going around a room, not sure which one yet, maybe a bathroom would be fun. OR paint giant bumble bees and use them as the trails that bees seem to make in every depiction of them for some reason, though I’m not quite sure why. Or they’d make a cute border going around a shelf. Or on the drawers of my craft cabinets.
I can’t make up my mind! I’d probably just end up ordering more to accomplish a million things with them!
We recently moved and I can’t paint our white walls – this will be a great way to dress up my 2 little girls rooms!!:)
What a great way to get those creative juices going on a Saturday morn! Thanks for the 5 minute creative escape :) With those lovely dots, I’d decorate the ginormous empty wall space above our family television. Swoosh. Sort of like a Flight of the Bumblees ushers spring into this cozy, snow-covered Minnesota home.
Ps… I *love* reading everyone’s ideas ;)
accent wall in my son’s room for sure!! SO cute!
I’d use them in my bedroom!
Boy…so many options! I would probably use them in our toy room!! Really fun!
My master bedroom needs a little pizazz, a funky polka dot design perhaps?
I would use them above the chair rail in our den and put them in large “stripes” — vertical groups of dots in a regular close pattern to make a stripe, then a blank space measured out between, then another vertical group of dots, etc. So it would look like metallic polka-dot striped wallpaper. Also nice in a dining room if I had one!
Not super clever, but definitely in my kids’ rooms. They’d love them!
I am working creating a playroom for our little man and think these would be an awesome Addition! But if I was trying to be creative I would put them in our office. It would bring some fun style into a room that is very masculine.
