Oh man.

I just spotted (see what I did there?) these gold and silver and white dot decals at the Land of Nod, and now my brain can’t stop scheming up good excuses to have a stack of them delivered to my house.

I would paint a section of wall with chalkboard paint, then make a connect-the-dots design so you could connect the dots and color the design in with chalk!

I’d definitely smatter them on the walls of my “craft” room (it doubles as my husband’s office, of course) and use them as inspiration to break my addiction to all things striped. It probably wouldn’t work and I’d develop an even bigger crush on dots. Accepting this as fact, I’d move on and enjoy many long and happy stripey, dottey filled hours in my new craft room/office.

    we have this huge, empty, deep grey wall in our living room that could use some spicy gold spots! our daughter’s room is the same dark grey as well, and I’m sure she would like a couple to look at {and likely try to peel off :) }

I just re-decorated my room in silvers, grays, and whites. The silver ones would look great in the corner, similar to the nursery picture.

We’re thinking of painting our bathroom a really pale grey-eggplant…so gold dots on that would look pretty great. Maybe a random dotty accent wall to make the bathroom the funnest place in our apartment?

I like how the dots are arranged in the nursery picture- kind of looks like a mountain with a gold snow cap.

I think it would be cool to use them as a modern Pac-Man interpretation using the silver dots. You could have them outline windows or as a border along top of the wall and then I would probably use black paint to add Pac-Man (or maybe Ms.Pac-Man) and the ghosts. If the walls were white the silver and the black figures should stand out and I really like the idea of black, white, and gray kids rooms (and adults).
I was also thinking making thick chevrons (several rows of dots) would be cool too, but I like the Pac-Man idea better.

I have recently created a little office corner in our basement, just for me… I might put them there to really differentiate the space… or put the gold ones in my daughter’s room – she has bright mint walls and that would look ADORABLE.

Since Charlotte and Harper have to share a room, and since it DESPERATELY needs to be updated to fit both a boy and a girl, and since the girl needs some girliness in her corner, I’d probably do a corner-thing (like your second image) to set her space apart. Such a fun idea!

Okay, this is bizarre because my mom and I were literally JUST (as in like 15 minutes ago) looking at this page in the LON catalog and swooning over the dots. I’d probably put them in Brynlee’s room!

Ooohhh, I’m more of a stripes girl myself- but stripes made out of rows of dots? Fun! Or maybe overlapping dots so it was a bit of a scallop… all sorts of places I could think of to have fun with those- perhaps the wall that my youngest sharpied two days ago first…

Aaahh! I am in LOVE with polka dots right now. I love the top picture. I’m a “lined-up” kinda girl :) I think I would put these on the inside back of the bookcases that line our wall under the TV, kind of a long, low media console made out of bookcases. These would be perfect to add some interest.

I would put these in my (lowly) decorated second room at school. I teach severe and profound special need students, and I finally hit a room to provide a sensory area for my students. My budget is gone, so this is happening out of my pocket. These dots would provide great focal points for my kiddos!

Love these! We just recently moved from Florida to Ohio (what a change!) so I’m working on a new room for my twin 8 year old boys. I’d love to use these to “frame” some of the artwork I’ll be hanging in their room or maybe to create a bubble effect in their bathroom :)

I just bought some fancy paper which I’ve framed and put up on a wall in various frames, so I’d put the dots all throughout the space in between the frames and around them, and probably if I had some extra, I’d see if they’d stay on the window.

I like the idea of having them trail around a corner. Maybe going from my daughters room out into the hallway. It would be cute to draw a silhouette of a little girl blowing bubbles with a bubble wand and then have the dots trail about.

I would use them to make a chair rail type border going around a room, not sure which one yet, maybe a bathroom would be fun. OR paint giant bumble bees and use them as the trails that bees seem to make in every depiction of them for some reason, though I’m not quite sure why. Or they’d make a cute border going around a shelf. Or on the drawers of my craft cabinets.

I can’t make up my mind! I’d probably just end up ordering more to accomplish a million things with them!

Thanks for the 5 minute creative escape :) With those lovely dots, I’d decorate the ginormous empty wall space above our family television. Swoosh. Sort of like a Flight of the Bumblees ushers spring into this cozy, snow-covered Minnesota home.

    Ps… I *love* reading everyone’s ideas ;)

I would use them above the chair rail in our den and put them in large “stripes” — vertical groups of dots in a regular close pattern to make a stripe, then a blank space measured out between, then another vertical group of dots, etc. So it would look like metallic polka-dot striped wallpaper. Also nice in a dining room if I had one!
