instafebruary

Morning, friends! Sharing a few happy photos from our February. If you follow me on Instagram, then most of these probably aren’t new. And if you don’t, well then enjoy all the insta-Myers-family you’ve been missing:instagramnumbered

1. A snuggly moment with my darling, narcoleptic daughter.

2. An awake lunch date at Whole Foods after a morning at the gym.

3. I made a strawberry pie on Sunday. It was just as wonderful as you might suspect!

4. Great news – we’re one step closer to passports – we now have our photos! Now to get around to a trip to the post office! (PS – I’ve enjoyed some interesting discussion about passport photo policies since posting this – turns out many people weren’t allowed to wear glasses or smile in their photos. I read the policies first hand and neither of those limitations were mentioned, so time will tell whether or not they accept my at-home photos!)

5. We had a pre-Oscars Les Mis screening at some friends’ house Friday night (they’d procured a screening/voting copy from a friend in LA). There was popcorn and a tray full of movie candy boxes AND there were even two silver candlesticks at the center of the table!

6. Legos are ever a fixture in our home. Hazel is starting to love them too!

7. Just Hazel polishing off a bowl of cereal.

8. Pedicure joy on a quiet Sunday afternoon (the days are getting warmer here!).

9. A favorite shot from our Zoo trip on Monday.

10. A little project I’m cooking up with the Land of Nod for March (I love a good DIY!).

11. Currently studying/writing in preparation for the SheReadsTruth Holy Week study. My pastor loaned me a copy of this book and by the end of the first chapter, I stopped and ordered a copy for each of the other five SRT writers. If you’re looking for a Lent/Easter book, this compilation of sermons and writings about the Cross by such pastors as Piper, Spurgeon, Luther, Sproul, etc. will break you in two.

Have a lovely Tuesday, friends! I’ll leave you with a snap of 5 of the 6 cousins playing in our backyard last night. Aren’t they cool?

Love your cap of everything going on in your life! You’re kids are just adorable! Also, I’ve been meaning to ask where I can get a She Reads Truth journal. Do you sell them on the website yet? I just love them!!

Thanks for the book recommendation! This will make the PERFECT Easter gift to send my hubby who is deployed over-seas right now. Without even opening the link I had a gut feeling to buy it when I read what pastors were included. All are on his favorites list! Excited to see what SRT brings during Holy Week. Thanks for your commitment to using your platform to spread God’s Truth. Blessings!

I feel like I’ve read all of your post, but I’ve missed where you need the passports for. What kind of trip are you planning? I hope something fun or mission related!

Hey Laura! No problem – that was an easy bit of information to miss! It was tucked deep into my Coffee Date post: Ryan and I are planning to travel to Guatemala in late summer with Food For the Hungry! Still can’t believe it – really excited!!

I love your shoes! I almost bought them (or something similar) last summer. I didn’t b/c I thought the white stripes would get dirty easily. Yours look great…..so I’m assuming you haven’t had that problem? They may need to be my new shoes for the summer!
